CONDO INSURANCE

Condo insurance is slightly different than typical homeowners coverage because in most cases, the physical structure of the condo is covered by the condo association's insurance policy. However, although the association's policy might pay for the structure, condo owners need their own policies to cover flooring, cabinetry, etc.

In addition to the physical coverages mentioned above, condo insurance policies cover personal property, temporary living expenses due to a covered loss, liability coverage as well as medical payments for others. Options include extra protection for items such as jewelry, computers, fine art, money, securities and identity theft. Multi-policy discounts often apply to clients who choose to carry both auto and condo policies with the same carrier.
